Christmas time….and the living is busy!

November

Welcome to my latest online newsletter.

A slightly shortened newsletter this month as things have quietened down a little during the recent weeks giving me a chance to catch my breath before gearing up for a very busy Christmas schedule.

Sunday lunchtime jazz dates at The Headland Hotel Newquay are continuing every week until Christmas providing another chance for you to hear Sarah and I at this beautiful establishment . Indeed, as a duo, we have been extremely busy this year and this month’s photo was taken at the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2017 held at The Headland where it was a privilege to be asked to provide the reception music. We really enjoyed helping celebrate the success of some of the county’s top tourist attractions.

Amongst my many bookings in December, I am looking forward to performing a solo set at The Beehive Tea Rooms in Bodmin on Saturday 9th December from 7.30.p.m. I am hoping that this may well lead to further engagements at this charming little venue and it would be great to see anyone who lives in the surrounding area during the evening.

My residency at The Budock Vean continues as normal throughout December and takes a short break during early January whist the hotel shuts for its annual winter refurbishment, re-opening at the end of the month. There maybe a few extra sessions added later and with the 2018 diary filling up fast, please keep an eye on the Bookings page as this is regularly updated with any last minute gigs.

Finally, a new collaboration of original material with an extremely talented local musician is well underway with initial rehearsals going well. It is so exciting for me to once again be producing some original material. We are both thrilled with the potential and I hope to be able to give further information about this venture in the New Year.

That is about all the news for now.

Hope to see you at a future gig.

Thanks for your support … as ever.

Simon
