Ring In The New

Welcome to my latest online newsletter.

A Happy New Year to all and what an exciting one it promises to be, with many new ventures fitting seamlessly alongside my regular bookings and commitments. The Christmas period was once again a hectic time and January brings a quieter period for me to catch my breath and gear up for future developments which include a live performance on the radio sometime soon. Watch this space for further news about this and other projects.

This month’s photograph features the cover of the EP I recorded recently with Lucy O’Day, . We were thrilled to hear that the people at All About Jazz.Com have included it in a list of Best Albums Of 2019. It is indeed quite humbling to receive such recognition and spurred on by this we are currently in the process of writing more material to perform in 2020. I will keep you posted when this is all available. All About Jazz.Com are currently running a poll for the Top Jazz Cities and any votes for Truro would be really cool. You can cast your vote by clicking the link here.

Following a number of requests, the original tracks from my very first CD recorded back in 2009, Introduction To New Memories, are now available as a digital downloads on iTunes and other outlets. You can download them Here . I was delighted that recent a recent communication from The Performing Rights Society confirmed that a selection of my original material has been broadcast worldwide and appeared on numerous playlists in hotels, cruise ships and other venues. Needless to say, I am extremely grateful to all who support my compositions and delighted that they are being heard by so many.

Sunday lunchtime duo gigs at The Headland Hotel continue from 1-3pm are now confirmed to run until the end of June. As always, I remain resident at The Budock Vean Hotel and whilst the hotel shuts for refurbishment in early January, it reopens at the end of the month. Be sure to check out all my gigs at the Bookings page as this continues to be regularly updated with any last minute engagements.

That is about all the news for now.

I hope to see you at a future gig.

Thanks for your support … as ever.

Simon
