Spring News

Welcome to my second online newsletter

With the clocks springing forward and more light and life appearing outside, there is so much to report. Following the successful launch of the website back at the end of February there have been over one thousand views in the first couple of weeks since going live. During this time we have made some fine tuning and the Bookings page continues to be regularly updated.

The next project involves some video shoots during April/May and these should be available to view either on the Video page of the website or on my new You Tube channel, but more of that next time. I am really excited about working with Pete and AJ@ingaf.co.uk along with my former colleague Swenson Kearey also on this project, so watch this space.

April also sees the culmination of my work with Pete Berryman on ‘The Last Letter’ performed by The Life Dance Theatre Company at the Carnglaze Caverns.

Later in the month, on the 20th April, I have been invited back in to the Radio Cornwall studios for a chat with Claire Rowley about all things Jazz and hopefully will be playing a few tracks of my original music too.

Sadly the Sunday lunch dates at The Galleon Inn Fowey have been suspended whilst maintenance work is undertaken at the pub however, I do have a number of extra dates at Budock Vean Hotel in April, so if you fancy a gorgeous meal in quality surroundings and a little solo jazz piano check out the latest dates on my Bookings page.

Finally I was very proud to note two of my former pupils performed very recently at Ronnie Scott’s, in London as part of the Alexander Bone Quartet. So thrilled for such dedicated and talented musicians as Joe and Toby. I was unable to attend but am looking forward to catching them at a gig in Cornwall later in the year.

Wishing you all a peaceful and relaxing Easter break and hope to see you at a future gig.

Thanks for your support … as ever.

Simon
